Happenings In The League
The Charlotte Swett Walter (CSW) Glenbard Democracy Challenge took place in the spring of 2024 at Glenbard West and South. A creative competition, the challenge asked students to portray the theme “Gen Z Democracy: Shaping the Future” through music, dance, creative writing, art, video, etc. See 2024 Democracy Challenger Winners here!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE April 22 2024-Glen Ellyn, Illinois. League of Women Voters of Glen Ellyn is teaming up with schools and local community groups to raise awareness of air pollution from engine idling.
The League of Women Voters of the US and the League of Women Voters of Illinois issued the following statement in response to the Illinois state judge ruling that former President Trump is disqualified from holding the office of President under the US Constitution, and therefore cannot be listed as a candidate on the 2024 presidential primary ballot.
Congratulations to the Village of Glen Ellyn, President Senak and the Village Board of Trustees on the unanimous decision to move forward with attainable and supportive housing in Glen Ellyn! On Monday, February 26, 2024, the Village Board voted unanimously to approve a Purchase and Sale Agreement for $1.75 million with Full Circle Communities (FCC). The Agreement includes the three western parcels of the Roosevelt Road/Taft Avenue hotel site fronting Taft Avenue. FCC is a non-profit affordable housing developer and property manager that provides significant and targeted supportive services to its residents and community.
